Family photos shouldn’t feel like a chore. I know it can be a lot, wrangling the kids, coordinating outfits, hoping everyone smiles at the same time. My job is to take that stress off your plate and make the session actually enjoyable.
I’m based in Maddock and I travel throughout central North Dakota to work with families where they are. If you’re in the New Rockford, Devils Lake, Rugby, or anywhere across the region, I’ll come to you and find a spot that feels right.
What a family session looks like
Sessions typically run 60 to 90 minutes and take place in a location that works for your family: a local park, your property, a field, or anywhere that feels like home. I'll guide you through some posed groupings, but I spend most of the session watching and capturing what happens naturally. Little ones especially tend to open up after the frist ten minutes once the camera becomes normal. Those are images you'll still love in 20 years.

Central North Dakota has a quiet, wide-open beauty that makes for incredible family portraits. Rolling fields, big prairie skies, and golden hour light that photographers in bigger cities would drive hours for. I know this region well and will help you find a location that feels natural and looks stunning in photos.
Who I photograph
From young families with babies and toddlers to multi-generational extended family sessions, I've done it all. I'm patient with little ones and know how to keep energy up and kids engaged. Every family is different and I'll tailor the session to yours.
